چکیده
The fungus Lecanicillium is belonging to the order Hypocreales and is described as anamorphic Cordycipitaceae. This genus is known by its ability to infect other species of fungi such as Agaricus spp., Sphaerotheca spp. [1], Puccinia spp. [2]...etc. On the other hand, it was recorded as entomopathogenic fungus as it can parasitize some species of insects like Mosquito larvae [3]&[4] Bombyx mori [5], Trialeurodes vaporariorum [6]...etc. In the meantime, it is reported from leaf litter of Abelmoschus esculentus and Acacia karroo. Currently, there are 21 described species of Lecanicillium [7]. In the past, this genus was described as Verticillium lecanii (Zimmerman) Viegas.

متن کاملFUNGI ASSOCIATED WITH SUGAR BEET CYST NEMATODE FROM FIELDS OF W. AZERBAIJAN (I)
Fungi associated with sugar beet cyst nematode (Heterodera schachtii Schmidt) in W. Azerbaijan were isolated from different stages during 2002-2004 and studied. Some 300 fungal isolates were obtained. In this paper, 16 species belonging to nine genera are identified. Among them, three species viz. Lecanicillium aphanocladii, Myrothecium verrucaria andPlectosporium tabacinum are as new records t...
متن کاملA phylogenetically-based nomenclature for Cordycipitaceae (Hypocreales)
The ending of dual nomenclatural systems for pleomorphic fungi in 2011 requires the reconciliation of competing names, ideally linked through culture based or molecular methods. The phylogenetic systematics of Hypocreales and its many genera have received extensive study in the last two decades, however resolution of competing names in Cordycipitaceae has not yet been addressed. Here we present...
متن کاملFiber Tractography and Diffusion Tensor Imaging in Children with Agenesis and Dysgenesis of Corpus Callosum: A Clinico-Radiological Correlation
Background Corpus callosum is the largest commissure in human brain. It consists of tightly packed white matter tracts connecting the two cerebral hemispheres. In this study we aimed to evaluate role of fiber tractography (FT), and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in ped...
متن کاملThe first report of two monogenean gill parasites assigned to Diclidophora merlangi (Diclidophoridae) and Loxuroides pricei (Axinidae) from brushtooth lizardfish and red porgy seabream of the Red Sea, Egypt
Monogenea is one of the most species-rich groups of parasitic flatworms worldwide with many species described from African freshwater fish. Little is known about the diversity and geographic distribution of monogenean parasites infesting the Red Sea fishes in Egypt. In the present study, a total of 45 specimens of the brushtooth lizardfish Saurida undosquamis (family: Synodontidae) and...
